Geocache Description:

We are gathering here to celebrate PI Day (π) with our fellow Geocachers and families.

Rain or shine we are meeting at the Pavilion near the foot of Navarre Bridge to celebrate PI Day (π) at 6pm.  For those of you not mathematically inclined, π is a number used in many mathematical formulas including area of a circle (πr2), circumference of a circle (dπ), and many other applications.  Since the number can be approximated by 22/7 or 3.1415........ we have decided to have this celebration on March 14th of this year (3.14).  A commemorative coin will be available at the event as well as a separate prize that can be won by completing a cache challenge.  Several new caches will be premiered at the event and all will have something to do with (You guessed it!) PI.

We plan to have a few activities at the event including a meet and greet, dessert of a particular round shape (Pie), and hopefully a game of geocaching trivial pursuit with some prizes.   If you plan on attending, please leave a note so we can get a better idea of how many will be coming.  Part of the Geocaching trivial Pursuit that we will be putting on involves photos of geocachers so if you don't mind sending a favorite photo of yourself or geocaching group, post it into the site.  All photos will only be used for the purpose of the game.

All attendants are welcome to bring their favorite pie/dessert  to the event but it is not required.  Hope to see you there! Antique Copper metal with Translucent/solid/glitter colors PI Day event Blueprint photo PIDay.jpg
