Flowery Field railway station serves the Flowery Field area of Hyde, Greater Manchester.
The name "HYDE" is derived from the hide, a measure of land for taxation purposes, taken to be that area of land necessary to support a peasant family. In later times it was taken to be equivalent to 120 acres
The station is 7 miles (11 km) east of Manchester Piccadilly on the Manchester-Glossop Line. The next station along to Guide Bridge. The two platform, wooden structure station was opened in 1985 The station is managed by Northern Rail.
