Jackson Park CITO April 20, 2013 by the park pavilion --- 12:30 pm to 3:30 pm.
This year’s Earth day theme is “The Face of Climate Change”
On Earth Day, April 22, 2013, more than one billion people around the world will take part in the 43rd anniversary of Earth Day. From Beijing to Cairo, Melbourne to London, Rio to Johannesburg, New Delhi to New York, communities everywhere will voice their concerns for the planet, and take action to protect it. We’ll harness that power to show the world The Face of Climate Change. And we’ll call on our leaders to act boldly together, as we have, in this pivotal year.
For more information go to the Earth Day website.
Cache In Trash Out is an ongoing environmental initiative supported by the worldwide geocaching community. Since 2002, geocachers around the world have been dedicated to improving parks and other cache-friendly places. Through these volunteer efforts, we help preserve the natural beauty of our outdoor resources!
We will pick up trash around designated areas with provided gloves and trash bags.
A number of new caches will be planned and released prior to the event.
