Meet fellow geocachers and learn all about the world of Geocaching from experienced geocachers on Thursday, February 21, beginning at 6:47 p.m., at the BP Energy Center, 900 E. Benson Blvd. (Click for map.)
Tonight's main speaker is Scott Aleckson, aka SSO JOAT. He will deliver a fast-paced presentation on a wide range of Outdoor Safety topics that will include everything from First Aid to Wild Animals to Gear to Mindset for returning safely from your outdoor travels. This topic is perfect for both new and old Geocachers.
This event will be carried live over the internet via WebEx with a formal remote meeting site in Fairbanks. Contact us immediately if you can host a remote site session. GeocacheAlaska! Sourdough Members who cannot attend an event site can link in remotely. Contact us for instructions on how to do so.

If we need to make any announcements about this event, all registered attendees will automatically receive an email copy of those announcements via the email you have registered with your Geocaching.com account. Please arrive on time so upfront administrative details can be handled and announcements made, allowing the course content to start precisely at 6:59 p.m. Also, please bring your favorite nonalcoholic beverage and a dessert to share with your fellow cachers.
There will be a free-will offering cache container at the event to help defray the costs of hosting these FUNdamentals events if you would like to make a donation.
