Geocache Description:

Old Oswestry is exactly what you imagine a hill fort should be with multiple ditches and dykes and a rather complicated 'entrance'. Definitely worth a visit if you are in the area. The fort itself was occupied from ~500 BC (the Iron Age) until the Roman period (~60AD). The history of the site and its strategic significance is explained by a series of information boards that form the 'tour' of the site.

The cache is in the form of a medium sized Tupperware box and contains the usual Lunchbox range of goodies. No scrambling of athletics are required so this should be a great cache for the kids.
