The cache is hidden near an old gold mine on Rat Tail Brook
To get to the cache you will need to drive through the Kent Hill Windfarm. In winter you will need to park at the winter parking coordinates but in summer you should be able to drive down this road to the parking coordinates. The road is too rough for most vehicles after this point, higher vehicles and 4X4s shouldn't have any problems.
The cache is hidden nead the old mine site, There is not a lot to see here now but back about 100 years ago there was a lot of activity here. A Mineral History Record from Natural Resources reports: Friday May 22, 1903 “For the past few weeks work has been vigorously pushed at the Lumsden Mine situated a distance of about six miles from Albert, A. Co., by the energetic lessee’s, M.D. Fullerton and Alba Anderson. One pure gold nugget of considerable size was taken from the mine during the past week, also valuable leads of copper and silver have been struck, and considerable excitement is being manifested.”
