Die Strände von La Graciosa – "der Anmutigen" – zählen zu den schönsten der Kanaren, allen voran der Traumstrand "Playa de las Conchas" im Nordwesten der Insel.
Mit seinem breiten, schneeweißen Sand und dem türkisblauen Wasser, ist er einer der Highlights der Insel.
An dem ca. 400m langen und 100m breiten Strand ging hier 1799 Alexander von Humboldt im Zuge seiner Südamerikareise an Land und war sicher so beeindruckt von diesem wunderbaren Ort wie wir heute.
Achtung: Wie überall an den Nordstränden der Kanaren gibt es hier starke Strömungen!!! Bei stärkerem Wind bilden sich vor der Küste hohe Wellen - nicht immer ist das Bad hier also ungefährlich!
Der Weg von Von Caleta del Sebo zum Strand „Las Conchas“ beträgt ca. 14 km. Am Ziel eröffnen sich herrliche Blicke auf den Atlantik und das La Graciosa vorgelagerte Eiland Montana Clara.
Zum Start beinhaltet die Dose einen GC, einen TB, einen Stift und natürlich ein Logbuch, welche auf den FTF`ler warten.

The beaches of La Graciosa – „The Graceful” – rank among the most beautiful ones of the Canary Islands, first of all the dream beach “Playa de las Conchas” on the northwest part of the island.
With its wide sand as white as snow and the turquoise blue sea is the beach one of the highlights.
In 1799 Alexander von Humboldt went here on shore, on this 400 m long and 100 m wide beach, as part of his journey to South America. He saw this wonderful place and was surely as impressed as we are today.
Caution: Like everywhere on the north shore of the Canary Islands there are very strong currents!!! High winds causes big waves off shore. For this time swimming is really not recommended.
The trail from Caleta del Sebo to the beach “Las Conchas” will take about 14 km to get there. At the finish appears a glorious view on the Atlantic Ocean and the island Montana Clara.
For the beginning the box contains a GC, a TB, a pen and of course a logbook, that are waiting for the FTF.
