This is the first cache placed in a series of caches that are planned for the Harwinton Land Trust properies. Laurel Marsh is a 24 acre property located across from Wilson Pond on Laurel Road. There is a short trail veering to the left that that leads to a wildlife observation platform overlooking the marsh. Another short trail veers to the right which leads to a rock outcrop that overlooks Wilson Pond. Public access is available from street-side parking.
Since most of the property is marsh, the cache is not too far from the road. Should be a relatively quick find. Note, if you find a cylindrical plastic container that is cracked, this is an old letter box. The cache is in a square official geocache container.
