Cette cache a pour objectif de vous faire découvrir un édifice roman remarquable du patrimoine lotois.
Eglise Saint-Martin de Cabanac, construite au 12e siècle par les anglais, et un des plus ancienne chapelle du Lot. Au cours de la période gothique (à la fin du 13e ou au début du 14e siècle), un haut clocher barlong (carré) fut élevé sur le devant du chœur. Chacune de ses faces s’ornent en leurs sommets de larges fenêtres dont les remplages intègrent des quadrilobes sculptés dans la pierre.
Actuellement, l‘église est en cours de restauration jusqu’en avril 2013.
La cache est située à proximité de l’édifice mais vous n’avez pas à pénétrer dans ce lieu de culte. Elle est dissimulée très proche d’un autre petit objet sacré. Ce chemin est probablement un ancien chemin de pèlerinage et offre une jolie vue sur l’église et les vignes qui l’entourent.

The aim of this cache is to discover a remarkable roman chapel heritage lotois.
The Saint-Martin Cabanac church built in the 12th century by the English. It is one of the oldest churches in the Lot. During the gothic period (end of 13th century or beginning 14th century), the high tower (square) was raised in front of heart of the chapel.
Actually, the church is in restoration until April 2013.
The cache is hidden near the chapel but you don’t have to enter inside. It is hidden near an other little religious symbol. This path is probably an ancient pilgrimage route and offer a beautiful overlooking the church and vineyards.
