Geocache Description:

A traditional cache placed in one of the most remote areas of Dartmoor's south moor.

The Avon River is fed from these mires which in turn take the water run off from Skir Hill, Naker's Hill and Ryder's Hill.

I have rated this cache as Terrain 3.5 as it is located in one of the most remote parts of Dartmoor's south moor. It is close to several mires and direct access may be very difficult, so plan your route carefully.

The weather on Dartmoor can change suddenly and unexpectedly and ALL types of weather conditions can be experienced. Please ensure that you have the correct clothing and map & compass (and know how to use them). Please do NOT rely solely on your GPS.

Cache placed with the kind permission of the Dartmoor National Park Authority and in accordance with their geocaching guideline.
