If you’ve walked from Cockle Creek and you can hear waves crashing then you must be close to this cache.
We walked it and when we heard waves it was like music to our ears because we knew our destination of South Bay was only a little bit further.
The area down by the water is a beautiful spot to sit and contemplate just where on earth you are.
You know at this point Antarctica is closer to you than Cairns.
The day we placed the cache we also watched a dozen or so surfers catching waves, they must be keen because the water wasn’t exactly warm.
