Le pont Gisclard fut construit ici en juin et juillet 1923 par le 7° régiment du génie L'obstacle choisi est constitué par un ravin qui entaille profondément le plateau situé à l'ouest du polygone de Villeneuve. La largeur du ravin à l'emplacement considéré est de 60 m environ, sa profondeur dépasse 20 m; les, parois sont rocheuses et escarpées.
Il subsiste et vous devriez en rencontrer de grands bornes en pierres qui devaient délimiter le pourtour du terrain militaire.
Maintenant à vous d'imaginer comment se situait et avait été construit ce pont.

The Gisclard bridge was built here in June and July 1923 by the 7th engineer regiment The chosen obstacle consists of a ravine which deeply cuts the plateau located west of the Villeneuve polygon. The width of the ravine at the location in question is approximately 60 m, its depth exceeds 20 m; the walls are rocky and steep.
