Geocache Description:

An exciting walk along an historic wall.

Charles V wall was built in 1540 and strengthened in 1552 by King Charles I of Spain, the Emperor Charles V. The wall remains largely intact and extends from the South Bastion, which was once at the water’s edge in the harbour, to the top ridge of the Rock of Gibraltar. The wall is also a stairway which one can use to walk up from the Apes Den area and reach a point near the Cable Car Top Station (or walk down). It is not for those who suffer from vertigo. There is no need to lean over the edge in order to locate this cache, so please take care on the stairway.

IMPORTANT: THE APES IN THE AREA ARE VERY CLEVER AND CURIOUS, PLEASE RETURN THE CACHE TO ITS EXACT LOCATION SO IT CANNOT BE MUGGLED BY THEM. THANK YOU.

Carlos V muro fue construido en 1540 y reforzada en 1552 por el rey Carlos I de España, el emperador Carlos V. El muro sigue siendo en gran parte intacta y se extiende desde el Baluarte del Sur, que fue una vez a la orilla del mar en el puerto, a la cresta superior del Peñón de Gibraltar. El muro es también una escalera que se puede utilizar para subir desde la zona de los simios y llegar a un punto cercano a la estación superior del teleférico (o bajar). No es para los que sufran de vértigo. No hay necesidad de inclinarse sobre el borde con el fin de localizar este cache, así que por favor tenga cuidado en la escalera.
IMPORTANTE: LOS MONOS SON MUY INTELIGENTE Y CURIOSOS, RECOLOCAR EL CACHE EXACTAMENTE DONDE LO ENCONTRAIS, PARA QUE LOS MONOS NO LO ROBEN. GRACIAS.
