Geocache Description:

Yet another great historic site in the Rio Grande Valley

This cache has been up for more than 15 years, 15 YEARS! Wow!

This is yet another great virtual cache in the Rio Grande Valley in deep south Texas.

You can visit this cache while searching for the first (and only for now) traditional cache in the area named "1st in the Rio Grande Valley" using waypoint GC352 (archived).

Like the other virtual caches in this region, this one will most likely teach you something about the area you are in.

Update Jan 29, 2006: Due to recent increase in popularity of this virtual cache by non travelling geocachers, I must point out that according to the geocaching guidelines for virtual caches, you must visit the location in order to log this cache. A virtual cache is still a location you have to physically visit, not just a free find you can get just by e-mailing the answer from across the country or the world. Any log suspected of coming from geocachers that did not visit the location will be promptly deleted.

Note: You must email us the answer to the following question before you may log it as a find. Don't post your answer here even if encrypted.

In what year did the Cárdenas family established La Noria Cardeneña ranch?.

Happy geocaching.
