This cache has been archived.

Dogwood_Reviewer: This event is over, and enough time has passed for everyone to log it. Per the guidelines for event caches it is now archived. I'm sure everyone that attended had a great time.

"Event caches are gatherings that are open to all geocachers and which are organized by geocachers. After the event has passed, the event cache should be archived by the organizer within four weeks."

Geocache Description:

Is it the end of the world as we know it? Let's find out in Flash Mob form from 7:30-7:45pm on Friday, Dec. 21, 2012.

"December 2012 marks the conclusion of a b'ak'tun—a time period in the Mesoamerican Long Count calendar which was used in Central America prior to the arrival of Europeans. " - Wikipedia

Did the Mayans really pick Dec. 21, 2012 as the end of the world?  Will the Earth go down for the long count?

(If so ... well ... there probably won't be a Flash Mob.)

But if the Earth doesn't end, meet at the coords on Dec. 21, 2012 at 7:30pm to exchange high-fives for surviving another apocalypse.  The high-fiving will continue until 7:45pm when everyone will surreptitiously slink away exchanging furtive glances while shrugging shoulders.

Bring any travel bugs you want to exchange.
