I have "The Snug" area booked in the Eden House, Rathfarnham from 7pm on the 121212, so come and celebrate this historic geocaching day with some harty pub grub and a drink or two! There is an A La Carte menu available on the night and a Geocaching souvenir in the offing for logging a cache/event on that day. I have the area booked for the night.
There is ample parking available onsite and for those taking public transport, Dublin Bus route 16 stops just outside.
There will hopefully be a good crowd in attendance to chat about easy/hard Geocaches and to get hints for those tricky puzzles. Whether you have found 1 or 10,000 caches this event is a great way to get to know the people behind the names on those logsheets you read, and see the faces who write the craziest logs on the website. There will be an area for travelbug and geocoin discovery, as well as plenty of willing volunteers to take travelbugs and geocoins onto their next destinations! There will also be the usual logbook signing, some good banter and maybe a few geocache-related surprises on the night.
A plan is afoot to link into the Dungarvan 121212 event via Skype, so hopefully a unique event experience will be present for those attending! I will provide my laptop for this but please see the note below.

A favour: Whilst the bar has got wireless internet, the staff said to me it isn't fantastic and we probably wont have it in The Snug area. PLEASE COULD SOMEONE BRING ALONG A USB MOBILE BROADBAND DONGLE SO WE CAN ACCESS SKYPE. I DO NOT HAVE ONE!!!
