Check out the characters above. Believe it or not, they all have the same Mother. As well as looking after her seven chldren (and their cat), she keeps our man under control.
He's an Italian sailor with a nine digit identification number that has three prime factors: A, B and C (the largest).
The cache is not at the posted coordinates, but can be found at:
N 51° 1X W 000° 3Y
where 1000*X = ((C+5)/9.6)+34
and 1000*Y = (((A*B)-4)/1.3)-68
Congratulations on the FTF to =Andy_R and tjapukai.
Puzzle solving hint #1 (more)
From a recent conversation, I realised that some people are making much harder work of these picture puzzles than is really necessary in this high-tech age.
- The latest versions of Windows have a handy 'Snipping Tool' that can be used to chop up a picture, such as the one above, into its constituent parts, and save them to your hard drive. (I'm sure there must be something similar for the Mac).
- These images can then be dragged from their folder straight to the search box of a popular search engine, which does a remarkable job of matching them to similar images out there on the web.
- This won't help you every time, but might be useful here! I've added a couple of screenshots to the Image Gallery to show you what I mean.
