The new plaque says "ALISON JEAN RATCLIFFE." Both Alison and Jon loved this place. The view is spectacular; so come sit for awhile.
It's a camo micro so bring your own pen. Lot's of Muggles in the area; so be sneaky and put it back carefully.
If you forget your GPS or it's gone wacky, the hint is in the name on the "new" plaque.
Congrats to runnerfam for the FTF - rain not withstanding. Whoooeeeee! 
** The City of Sausalito just took away the plaque "Jon Loved to sit Here " and replaced it with a new plaque that reads: "Dedicated in the Memory of Alison Jean Ratcliffe, M.A."
Thieves made off with most of the bronze plaques that graced these benches. They probably were sold for scrap for pennies on the dollar. Sausalito replaced all the originals the week of July 15-18, 2013.
Unfortunately, whomever put the "Jon Loved to Sit Here" plaque on this particular bench hadn't asked permission or given the city a donation; so the original plaque I photographed is gone. It actually was photographed for KTVU News - see photo I took of the TV broadcast.
I see no reason to change the name of the cache, Jon did love to sit here and Alison Jean Ratcliffe loved Sausalito enough to have her ashes spread here after losing her battle with cancer.
With that in mind, be respectful as you make the grab and enjoy the view. Hopefully as much as both Jon and Alison did.
