This cache is located on the Fosdick Preserve, a Newtown Forest Association property. It is approximately a 3 mile hike including the bonus cache, Maleficent. The preserve is open year round but is closed at night. No motorized vehicles; dogs allowed on leashes; hunting is not allowed.
The story of Sleeping Beauty is a tragic one. She wasn't meant to sleep for one hundred years. She was supposed to take a short nap and sleep only until her fellow princesses found her and sprinkled a little fairy dust on her face. But, as any cacher knows, tripsing through the woods wearing a ballgown is impossible. The princesses really need a lesson on proper caching wear. This is the 21st century after all. In your logs, feel free to give wardrobe advice to the ladies so that their journey is made easier.
For my part, I will only say this: leave the glass slippers, take the hiking boots.
Congratulations to:
grschmid on FTF.
On a cool November morning, grschmid was intrigued,
It didn't matter that a conference call had made him quite fatigued.
He had no girls, but two great boys so he worried about the clues,
But in his gps he trusted and to give up he did refuse.
He battled through thorns, and fallen trees,
He nearly stepped into a nest of bees (not really, but it rhymes)
The sleeping princess he did awaken,
And the beautiful Aurora was no longer forsaken.
