Mazliet no vēstures:
1968.gads
Tiek likts pirmais ķieģelis jaunās Valmieras vidusskolas pamatos.
1971.gads
Valmierā svinīgi tiek atklāta 4.vidusskola. Mācības uzsāka apmēram 1000 skolēni. Par skolas pirmo direktoru kļūst Vidulis Vīksne. Tiek atklāta arī sporta zāle tajā laikā ar vienu no labākajiem basketbola un volejbola laukumiem. Un ir sportlaukums ar skrejceļu un futbola, basketbola un volejbola laukumiem.
1972.gads
14.jūnijā - pirmais izlaidums Valmieras 4.vidusskolā - gan tikai pamatskolas klasēm.
1974.gads
Skolā uzsāk autoapmācību skolotāja Pāvela Toča vadībā.
1975.gads
10.novembrī tiek atklāts peldbaseins. Absolvējuši tādi sportisti kā A.Ķiksis, R.Lodziņš, M.Petraško, A. Bukonte, K. Ločmelis. Notiek pirmais sarīkojumu deju konkurss „Valmieras rudens - 75",kas turpinās gandrīz desmit gadus. Skolas pionieru un komjauniešu organizācijām piešķir Latviešu Sarkano strēlnieku vārdu. Kā liecība tam tiek noformēta foajē siena, organizēti pasākumi ar strēlnieku piedalīšanos.
1989.gads
Uz jaunuzcelto Valmiera 2.vidusskolu pāriet mācīties krievu plūsmas skolēni. Skolā paliek tikai latviešu plūsma.
1991.gads
5.maijā mācītājs Kavacis iesvēta jauno skolas karogu.
12.oktobrī atzīmē skolas 20 gadu jubileju.
Atklāj piemiņas akmeni ar V.Plūdoņa vārdiem: "Tas spēs, kas uzdrīkstēsies"

Valmieras 4th middle school
A little bit of history:
Year 1968.
The first brick has been put in the schools groundwork.
Year 1971.
Celebrating the 4th middle school in Valmiera has opened. About 1000 students began studdies. The first principal of the school was Vidulis Vīksne. Also a gym was open with one of the best that time basketball and voleyball courses. And there's also a sports field with a running track, basketball and voleyball fields.
Year 1972.
14th of June - the first graduation from Valmieras 4th middle school - only for elementary school.
Year 1974.
School begins car driving courses in the lead of Pāvels Točs.
Year 1975.
In the 10th of november the pool is opened. A list of athletes graduate like A.Ķiksis, R.Lodziņš, M.Petraško, A. Bukonte, K. Ločmelis. First ballroom dancing contest "Valmieras rudens - 75" takes place, which continues for almoast 10 years. The schools pioneer and komsomol unions get granted with the Latvian Red riflemen title. And as proof for this the lobby wall is decorated, and several events are organized with the help of these riflemen.
Year 1989.
The russian flow students transfer to the newly-built Valmieras 2nd middle school. Only latvian flow students are left.
Year 1991.
5th of may, the schools flag gets ordained by the pastor Kavacis.
School celebrates its 20th birthday in 12th of october.
A memorial stone with words of V. Plūdonis is found "Tas spēs, kas uzdrīkstēsies"
