The cache is NOT at the posted coordinates, though you can buy gas there if you need to re-enact the puzzle in order to solve it. The north coordinates begin with 42 and the west coordinates begin with 076.
MY FIRST TRIP began in my home town of Colonie, NY, at the Colonie Center. From there I drove west to the Mohawk Mall - oops, now it's the Mohawk Commons - and continued 'til I found a main drag that led straight to Latham. Just beyond the Northway I turned north on another main drag, but when I reached Clifton Park I realized that I'd screwed up! I turned south and backtracked to the route that I wanted, which took me from Latham straight into Troy. after spending the day seeing all the tourist attractions in Troy, I somehow arrived in Albany - I don't recollect that route. But once in Albany, I picked up the same road that I started on, and drove home to Colonie.
MY SECOND TRIP is a blur and I can only recall parts of it. I began of course just south of my home in the Village of Marcellus and followed a road east through Lafayette, Pompey, Morrisville when suddenly I was driving along a US highway the coast in Maine! I recollect passing through Brunswick, Camden, Rockland, and Belfast. Well, that didn't last too long, because soon I was back to Latham, driving north on the road to Clifton Park. I stayed on that road for a very long time, all the way to Plattsburg. There I turned southwest and drove to Cranberry Lake. At that point I went to the campground, set up my tent, unrolled my sleeping bag, and fell into an exhausted sleep. That was some journey, after all.
