Geocache Description:

Originally an iron church was constructed in 1885 in Ash Vale to serve part of the parish of Ash and was approved for the holding of Divine Service and Baptisms. Later, a new church was built on the site in brick and kept the sole record of baptisms. In 1914 a licence was issued allowing marriages to be performed at St Mary. Ash Vale was made a Conventional District in 1963 and a Parish in 1972. There is a car park at the front of the church.
