Bem-vindos à fonte do alto da mina
Welcome to mina water fountain

Esta cache apresenta-nos a fonte do alto da mina, uma fonte cuja sua história remonta aos anos de 1780 (ano da construção da mina).
A mina contém outra fonte e ambas têm depósitos de 15 metros de profundidade e actualmente têm um débito de 200 litros de água a correr ininterruptamente tanto para as bicas como nos seus depósitos, durante todo o ano.
Queremos dar a conhecer uma fantástica obra de uma mina que tem 300 metros de cumprimento, 1 metro de largura e 2 metros de altura e que abastece a população local bem como os terrenos e os regadios, estende-se pela aldeia atravessando as ruas.
Para além da fonte, encontra-se no local um tanque comunitário para as lavagens de roupa e uma pequena fonte decorativa com peixes situada num jardim em frente á fonte principal da mina.
Queremos deixar o nosso agradecimento à junta de freguesia da Encarnação não só por disponibilizarem a informação sobre a mina, como pelo excelente trabalho de conservação da mesma.
Podem utilizar a água para consumo, aproveitem a paragem e desfrutem do por do sol pois o local é excelente para o observar.

This cache gives us the water fountain from Mina, a fountain whose history dates back to the year 1780 (year of mine’s construction).
The mine contains another water fountain and both have deposits of 15 meters deep and currently have an output of 200 liters of water to run continuously for both spouts and in its deposits throughout the year.
We want to get to know a fantastic work of a mine that is 300 meters long, 1 meter wide and 2 meters high and fueling the local population as well as land and irrigation schemes, extends through the village streets.
In addition to the source, is a tank on site for Community washes clothes and a small decorative fountain with fish set in a garden in front of the main source of mine.
We want to let our gratitude to the parish of Encarnação not only make available information about the mine, as the excellent conservation work the same.
You can use the water for drinking, make a stop and enjoy the sunset as the location is excellent for watching it.

- A marble
- A great clip for papers
We asked the usual care and secrecy that geocaching sensitizes and with this cache we celebrate our 100th found!
