Première d’une série de 9 caches, dédiées à Tintin et « L’affaire Tournesol » qui se déroule, en partie, en Suisse.
First cache of a serie of 9, related with the Tintin in « The Calculus Affair » which part of it takes place in Switzerland.

Tintin en Suisse 1 – Aéroport de Genève

Tintin, son fidèle compagnon Milou et le capitaine Haddock voyagent à bord d’un Convair 240 de Sabena, compagnie belge qui, tout comme Swissair, fit faillite en 2001. Ils arrivent à l’aéroport de Cointrin, à Genève, en suivant les traces du professeur Tournesol.
Tournesol, après avoir inventé un appareil d’ultra-sons révolutionnaire, est envié par deux pays, la Bordurie et la Syldavie, qui désirent utiliser son invention à des fins militaires.

« L’affaire Tournesol » a été publiée par Hergé en 1956. L’un des plus grands dessinateurs de BD du XXe siècle avait choisi la Suisse, et plus particulièrement Nyon, pour pimenter l’intrigue de la disparition du professeur Tournesol. Ce personnage est d’ailleurs inspiré par le scientifique Auguste Piccard, grand-père de Bertrand Piccard lui-même amateur de Tintin!

Curiosité: L’aéroport international de Genève (code AITA: GVA • code OACI: LSGG) dessert Genève, la Suisse romande et une partie des régions françaises Franche-Comté et Rhône-Alpes. Il se trouve sur les territoires des communes suisses du Grand-Saconnex et de Meyrin. Il est le deuxième plus grand aéroport de Suisse en termes de trafic et de taille.
L'AIG est un des hubs principaux de la compagnie à bas prix EasyJet. En effet, plus de 35 % du trafic aérien dans l'aéroport international de Genève est lié aux activités de la compagnie aérienne EasyJet Switzerland.

Tintin in Switzerland 1 – Geneva Airport

Tintin, his faithful dog Snowy and captain Haddock travels aboard a Convair 240 of Sabena, a Belgian airline that like Swissair, went into bankruptcy in 2001. They arrive at Cointrin airport in Geneva, following the path of professor Calculus.
Calculus, after making an ultra-sound revolutionary device, becomes a target to Borduria and Syldavia, two antagonist countries that unveils the use of the new technology for military purposes.

« The Calculus Affair » was published by Hergé in 1956. One of 20^th century biggest comics author had chosen Switzerland and specially Nyon, to spice up the plot of professor Calculus kidnap. This character was inspired by the famous scientist Auguste Piccard, great-father of Bertrand Piccard, himself Tintin’s fan.

Curiosity: Geneva International Airport (code AITA: GVA • code OACI: LSGG) serves Geneva, the Swiss French part and the French regions of Franche-Comté et Rhône-Alpes. It stands in Grand-Saconnex and Meyrin regions. It is Switzerland’s second airport in size and traffic.
GVA is an important hub of the low-cost company EasyJet. In fact, 35% of its air traffic is connected with this British airline.
