Välkommen till Skogen!
Om cachen och platsen:
Cachen är en medelstor Letterbox-hybrid som är gömd i ”Skogen”. Skogen har inget officiellt namn, frågar du Google Maps ger Google dig inget svar. Inofficiellt har den kallats för Partilleskogen vid några enstaka tillfällen, men av befolkningen i Finngösa kallas den mest bara för ”Skogen”. Skogen avgränsar i syd mot Knipeflogsbergens Naturreservat.
Genom skogen går många trevliga stigar. Har man hund är det ett trevligt ställe att promenera.
Jag och AP2000 har genom åren varit mycket i skogen, det händer fortfarande att vi tar en och annan promenad här med hunden. Därför vill vi dela med oss av denna fina skog utan namn. Finns det något bättre sätt att göra det på än genom att lägga upp en cache här?
Är du lite stel i kroppen eller höjdrädd kan det vara bra veta att cachen är uppe i ett träd, dock är det ganska klättervänligt. Hunden lär dock vara lite svår att få upp i trädet, då kan det vara bra att lämna den nedanför. Är hunden rädd för myror kan den kanske behöva vaktas av någon medcachare.
Uppdragsbeskrivning:
Du har fått ett uppdrag. Du skall finna den gamla knasiga agenten Stures brevlåda, där har har gömt många av sina hemligheter. Det är dock lättare sagt än gjort: han hatar reklam. Därför har han gömt sin brevlåda i skogen. Han har lämnat instruktioner för hur du skall hitta brevlådan, ursprungligen tänkta att användas av brevbäraren. Han har aldrig fått någon post, brevbäraren var väl inte så tänd på idén att klättra i träd. Här är hans efterlämnade instruktioner:
”Hej kära brevbärare!
Du kanske har lagt märke till att min brevlåda inte är vid adressen. Den är inne i skogen där ingen kan ge mig någon reklam.
Jag vill inte ha någon reklam från dig heller, bara brev och Göteborgs-Posten. För att hitta min brevlåda, följ nedanstående instruktioner:
Steg 1: Vid startkoordinaterna ser du ett elhus. På huset ser du en skylt med fyra siffror på i formatet XYYY. Räkna XYY-311=ZZZ meter. Nollpunkten är vid denna skylt. Följ vägen mot skogen, följ sedan stigen in i skogen. Från nollpunkt skall du gå ZZZ meter. När du gått ZZZ meter kan du nu välja stigen åt höger eller stigen åt vänster. Är Y=1 gå åt vänster, är Y=2 gå åt höger. Kom ihåg XYYY till senare.
Steg 2: Några meter uppför backen delar sig stigen åter, gå då höger.
Steg 3: Gå ca 80 meter, sväng sedan vänster. (Vill du se bild, se engelsk beskrivning.)
Steg 4: Gå ca 40 meter tills du kommer till ett träd utan någon bark på, följ stigen och sväng in efter trädet, åt vänster uppför backen.
Steg 5: Följ stigen uppför backen, efter lite över 10 meter följer du stigen åt höger.
Steg 6: Efter lite över 60 meter skall du se en smalare stock över en stig på din högra sida, gå in på den stigen.
Steg 7: Nu skall du se en bänk, på den skall du se en kod, B=? och E=?. Från bänken skall du kunna se (så länge trädet 
bänken lutar mot inte är i vägen) cachen uppe i ett träd i nordostlig riktning. Den är inom 25 meters avstånd. Bra att veta är att trädet är ett av de mer klättervänliga i rätt riktning inom avståndet.
Finalsteg: Nu hoppas jag att du är uppe vid min brevlåda men du har ett sista hinder kvar. Använd avkodningsinformationen på lådans utsida för att kunna avkoda B och E. Hoppas du kommer ihåg XYYY.

Welcome to the Forest!
About the cache and the place:
The cache is a regular sized Letterbox hybrid hidden up in a tree in the "Forest". This forest doesn't have an official name, unofficially it has been called "Partilleskogen" (the forest of Partille). The people living in the Finngösa neighbourhood next to the forest simply refer to it as "Skogen" (the forest). If you ask Google Maps what this forest is named, you get no answer. "The Forest" lies adjacent to the "Knipeflogbergens Naturreservat" in the south.
If you have a dog it's nice to bring it with you to this beautiful forest.
Me and AP2000 have spent a lot of time in this forest during the years. Nowadays, visits to the forest happen more seldom. It still happens that we take a walk with our dog here. Because we like this forest very much, we want to share it with you. And is there a better way to do it than to put a cache in it?
If you're a little stiff or afraid of heights, it may be worth knowing that this cache is mounted in a tree. The tree itself is quite easy to climb in, it should not be a big problem getting yourself up there.
If you brought your dog, don't try to bring it up in the tree. Leave it below. If the dog is afraid of ants, maybe you'd want to let a fellow cacher take care of it while you log the cache.
Description of your mission:
You've got a mission. You have to find the weird old agent Sture's letterbox, where he's hidden a lot of secrets. It's easier said than done. There's one thing he really hates - advertisements! That's why he decided to hide his letterbox in a tree, in the forest. He has left instructions behind, originally intended for the mailman. He's never gotten any mail, maybe the mailman wasn't to interested in climbing trees to deliver mail? Here are the instructions, translated:
"Dear mailman!
You may have noticed that my mailbox isn't at the correct adress. It is in the forest where no ads can be delivered. Just to make it clear: I don't want any ads from you either, I only want letters and my daily Göteborgs Posten. To find my letterbox, follow the instructions below:
Step 1: From the starting coordinates, you'd probably be able to spot an electricity house (see picture in the swedish instructions). On the house you should see numbers in a XYYY-format. From there, follow the road in to the forest for XYY - 311 = ZZZ meters. After ZZZ meters, take the path left if Y=1, otherwise take the path right if Y=2.
Step 2: Follow the path for about ten meters, then take left if Y=2, otherwise take right if Y=1.
Step 3: Follow the path for approximately 80 meters, then take the smaller path to the left. (see image) 
Step 4: Walk another approx. 40 meters along the path til you see a tree with no tree bark on it. Take the path up the small hill left after the barkless tree.
Step 5: Stay on the path up the small hill, after a little more than ten meters the path should bend to the right. Follow the bend.
Step 6: After little over 60 meters, you should see a thinner log on a smaller path on your right side. Walk over it and follow the path.
Step 7: You should now see a bench. Search for a code on it. You shall find the answers to B=? and E=? It is not far away now. From the side of the same bench you should be able to see my letterbox 4-5 meters up in a tree on your northeast.
Final step: After you have spotted the cache, climb up the tree. On the front of my letterbox, you should now see a way to decipher B and E. XYYY is already deciphered. The code to gain entrance to the letterbox is FGH. Use the below list to figure out what FGH is.

How to log:
The log book in the cache is supposed to be logged with geoname, date and preferably with your personal stamp. If you don't have your own stamp, you can use the stamp pad in the cache and stamp with your fingerprint, if you want to. Don't use the stamp in the cache for anything else than to stamp in your own personal stamp book (not required, that's just for getting "a souvenir" from the cache to remember). Remember, don't use it in the cache's logbook.
Stamp, stamp pad, logbook, pen, container and stash note are not exchangable.
