Une cache facile pour découvrir une toute petite page de l'histoire de Rennes.

La Rue des Innocents relie la place des lices à la Rue Saint Louis.

Jusqu'à la révolution, les exécutions avaient lieu place des lices. Les corps des supliciés étaient ensuite ammenés pour être inhumés près de l'ancienne église Saint Aubin (ouest de la place Sainte Anne) en empruntant ce passage.

Par ironie ou pitié cette rue fut ainsi nommée.

Remarquez la maison à l'angle de la rue avec la rue Saint Louis. La forme particulière de son toit est due à la charpente réalisée par des charpentiers de marine.

Pensez à noter l'indice pour la future cache bonus.

An easy cache to discover a small page of Rennes history.

The "Rue des Innocents" goes from the "Place des Lices" to the "Rue Saint Louis".

Until the French revolution, executions took place on the "Place des Lices". Bodies were then brought by the "Eglise Saint Aubin" (in the west of current "Place Sainte Anne") to be buried.

For irony or pity, this street has been named this way, which means "Street of not guilties".

A remarquable point to be noticied, the house at the corner of the street with the "Rue Saint Louis". The particular shape of the roof is due to the sructure made by navy carpenters.
