Amazing trail that the "Cliff Climbers" use for fun.
Me? I think their crazy.
Awesome trail up and up the South side of Shannon Falls starting at an unmarked trailhead. It is located just as you enter the Shannon Park access road just off the "Sea to Sky" Highway. You will have to drive past and park and then walk back to the trailhead.
For those of you who are familiar with Kilrag caches this isn't that much of a killer hike. For those who are doing your first Kilrag hike please bring food and water.
Very cool forest and nifty views of cliff climbing sights are the norm on the way up. This is not a kids hike because of the cliffs and steep terrain. I like the rope assists on the steep parts because it make me feel like Spiderman.
Ok, so now you are up as far as you can go on the trail to the upper falls. Turn left and enjoy the upper falls area (summer has some water and spring will have amazing water).
Now that you have that "view stuff" out of the way go back to where the trail to the upper falls ends. Look up for the next marker and climb straight up until you reach the cliff face. You will see a new opening on your upper left. Check out the new view of the falls and when you turn around to go back down look for the big bolder next to the cliff about 2 or 3 meters down from where you are standing.
