Rondanenavnet kommer av det lange, smale Rondvatnet. Rond betyr rand, stripe. Rondvatnet bar tidligere navnet Rond. Rondslottet fikk sitt nåværende navn i 1875.

NB! Retrieving this cache requires that you are well prepared and in good shape. It can snow even in summer, and cell phone coverage can be non-existing. Study local maps and ask experienced mountaineers before attempting the climb. Expect 8 hours in/out, not including rests, if you are in good shape.
