Church Mirco 2371: St Mary’s, Thorpe Morieux Traditional Geocache

You are looking for an unusual cache placed within the Church Grounds. Bring your own pen to sign tiny log. Advise the use of tweezers to extract the log.

A little known village unless you live there. Thorpe Morieux is one of Suffolk’s beautiful secrets. The church is tucked away in a dip, but the tower is tall enough so that you can see the St George’s flag on the top from quite a distance.

This 14^th century church surrounded by water meadows, a stream & a fine Tudor farmhouse presents a memorable picture of old England. After looking around the church, take the time to wander around the peaceful churchyard, especially in early springtime with a carpet of snowdrops under the Chestnut Trees.

Please note the conservation areas within the grounds.
