This cache is hidden at the Pla de Brezou (at 670m) , above the village of Duilhac Sous Peyrepertuse. There are 4 possible ways to get to this cache and they are listed below in ascending order of difficulty. We have given the names of the GR routes, Cols etc. However you really need a map of the area to be able to do these walks, especially the more difficult ones. We have also given an approximate time for each walk route.

Route 1:
From Duilhac take the route to the chateau and on the way up park at N42°51.917 E002°32.951 (elevation 1768 ft/540m). From here follow the gravel track (GR36-sentir cathare) that starts at the bend in the road. Walk past Bergerie de Bugamus and continue to the Col de Lappes. Take the path through the little wooden gate and continue until you see a signpost for Pla de Brezou. Do not follow the downhill path to Cubieres. The path will go up through the woods to the Pla de Brezou. Once you reach the top begin the hunt!

Route 2:
Alternatively you can walk from the village. Parking in the village can be found at N 42°51.699 E 002°33.923. The start of the path in the village is at N 42°51.775 E 002°33.877 at approximately 330m. This path is the walking path to the chateau and follows the road but cuts off all the corners. You will reach the bend in the road with the gravel track as detailed in route 1, so follow the route 1 instructions from then on.
Time (there and back)= 2.5-3 hours
Route 3:
Take the GR36 from the road going north from St-Paul-de-Fenouillet (D7) going north to the Gorges de Galamus. The GR route starts 2.5km along the D7 at approximately 330m.
Time (there and back) = 2 hours
Route 4:
Start at the north end of the Gorges de Galamus. There is a small path leading straight up into the trees on the uphill side of the road. The path goes steeply uphill from approximately 370m to 670m until you meet another path at the Col das Souls. There is a signpost here. Follow the Tour de Fenouillet over the pech d’Auroux at 940m and then down to Pla de Brezou. After the Cache go south on the GR 36 down the valley to join the road (D 10) and then walk up the road to return to the Gorge. This is a challenging walk but there is a fantastic view at the top. All that uphill climbing is definitely worth it!
