Get outdoors and enjoy a great day of geocaching! Roseburg Parks & Recreation will be hosting the Swift Fest Geo Challenge, a nature-based geocache event in honor of swifts (small birds that roost in chimneys).
Pick up your passport on Sunday, September 9, 2012 between 10:00 am and noon at Fir Grove Park / 576 W. Stewart Park Drive / Roseburg, Oregon 97471. Completed passports may be redeemed for a geocoin between 3:00 pm and 7:00 pm on September 9, 2012 (same day / location) during Swift Fest, our kick-off event to Roseburg Swift Watch. When picking up your coin, we invite you to join us just before sunset and witness the spectacular display of swifts as they dive into the tall chimney, located in the park, to roost for the night.
This geocache series, which consists of 4 traditional and 11 virtual caches, will lead cachers to city parks and sites around Roseburg. Limited edition geocoins will be awarded to the first 100 people who successfully complete the challenge.
