Le château de la Garde ou château de La Roche, est un antique château féodal situé sur la commune d'Albaret-Sainte-Marie en Lozère (France). Il est aujourd'hui en ruine et est difficilement accessible. Dominant la Truyère, il était ainsi un point de surveillance pour ses propriétaires, la baronnie d'Apchier, faisant face d'une part à la baronnie de Mercœur et de l'autre à l'Auvergne. Mercœur et Apchier était deux des huit baronnies du Gévaudan.Sa construction remonte vraisemblablement à la fin du XIVe siècle. Le château ayant pour charge de protéger le château d'Apcher plus au sud.

The guard or Castle of La Roche, Castle is an ancient feudal Castle situated in the commune of Albaret-Sainte-Marie in Lozère (France). It is now in ruins and is not easily accessible. Overlooking the Truyère, was thus a monitoring point for its owners, the barony of Apchier, facing to the barony of Merc? ur and the other in the Auvergne. Merc? ur and Apchier two of the eight baronies of gevaudan.sa construction was probably back in the late 14th century. The castle with the charge to protect the castle of Marquis D'apcher more to the South.
