[FIN] Hieman kiipeämistä vaativa peruskätkö. Uusi yritys, hieman rauhallisemmassa paikassa.
[ENG] A basic cache that requires some climbing. This is the second edition of the cache as the previous location turned out to be too muggle sensitive.

Usein kätköillessä ulkomailla huomaa, että maan kätkökulttuuri on erityinen. Purkit ovat tietyntyyppisiä, tai tietynlaisia kätköjä suositaan. Joskus jopa kätköjen luokitukset eroavat radikaalisti. On opettavaista tutustua eri maiden kätkökulttuureihin ja oppia niistä omia kätköjä tehdessään. Huonona puolena vain on, että täytyy matkustaa. Mutta ei hätää, tämä kätkösarja esittelee sinulle eri maiden kätköilykulttuureja koto-Suomessa. Huomioithan, että tämän sarjan kätköt ovat vain parin geokätköilijän näkemyksiä eri maiden kätkökulttuureista.

Tämä kätkö
Tämä kätkö esittelee Latvian kätköilykulttuuria. Monelle matkaajalle saattaa Latviassa (ainakin Riikan alueella) tulla yllätyksenä, että terrain 2 luokiteltu kätkö on yllättävän hankalassa paikassa. Useasti T2 vaatii jo ponnisteluja, joskaan ei välttämättä apuvälineitä. T2,5 taas useasti vaatii joko todella hyvää kuntoa ja voimia tai sitten jotain apuvälineitä, esim onki. Tulipa vastaan yksi T2,5 kätkö, joka oli sijoitettu samanlaiseen paikkaan kuin tämä kätkö. Joskin torni sijaitsi aidatulla alueella rautateiden välissä. Tämä kätkö on Latvian T2 tasoa ja Suomessa tämä on yleensä T4 ehkä jopa T4.5. Edellisen kätkön Latvialaiset kätköilijät kävivät arvioimassa T2:ksi. Latvian vieraita odotetaan tännekin arvioimaan purkin todellinen Latvialainen terrain. Talvella ja märällä kelillä kannattaa vähän harkita miten etenee. Kätkö on kyllä löydettävissä talvellakin. Purkki on small ja siellä oli piilotushetkellä kynä ja varakynä. Koittakaa kuitenkin olla pudottamatta sitä kynää.

When caching abroad you will often discover that the cache culture differs from your home country. Geocaches are of certain type, or certain types of caches are favored. Sometimes even the cache ratings differ radically. It is educative to explore the cache cultures of different countries and learn from them when hiding your own caches. The only downside is that you need to travel. But do not worry, this series introduces you to the cache cultures in different countries here in Finland. Please note that this series of caches are based on views of cache cultures by couple of geocachers.

This cache
This cache introduces Latvian cache culture. It might take many travelling geocachers by surprise that in Latvia (at least in the Riga region) terrain 2 rated cache can be quite challenging. In many cases, T2 in Latvia would mean significant effort to get the cache, even though you might not need special tools. However, T2.5 already requires good health and strength or some equipment such as ladders, etc. While caching in Latvia we noticed a T2.5 cache that was placed in similar location as this cache. Only that the cache was also between railway tracks on fenced area.

This cache would probably be rated Terrain 2 in Latvia and in Finland this is typically T4 maybe even T4.5. Of course, we are again waiting for Latvian cachers to visit the cache and confirm the terrain rating In winter time and after rain please use your own judgement if you should go for the cache or not. It might get slippery up there. However, the cache can be found in winter time. The cache size is small and at the moment of hiding it had two pencils. The other one is a spare, but please do not drop the pen when visiting the cache.

Please, DO NOT detach the cache from its hiding place. In this way, the next cacher does not get it any easier.
