GC Code Mystery Cache

For those interested, the key to the puzzle was to find the cache with the waypoint GCCODE (the clue was in the title!) and the questions were intended to be answered as follows:

  • Who (set the cache) ?

Find the answers to these questions, and reduce them to a single number (see below) and call those numbers A, B, C and D. The cache can be found at:

To reduce the answers to a single number:

  1. First remove any non-alphanumeric characters so IJ K-5 becomes IJK5
  2. Convert any letters to their numeric equivalents, so IJK5 becomes 910115.
  3. Next sum the individual digits: 9+1+0+1+1+5=17
  4. Repeat step 3 until you have a single digit remaining: 1+7=8
