Forsen Mestoslinkka i Kalixälven är en av Norrbottens många juveler.
The Mestoslinkka rapids in the Kalix River is one of Norrbotten's many gems.
Denna plats återkommer vi till varje år för att uppleva naturens kraft och för att delta i den årliga fisketävlingen Harrens dag. Här kan du njuta av den storslagna forsen och grilla vi de iordningställda grillplatserna. Här finns också en gammal flottarkoja. Stenkonstruktionen som går ut i älven är en annan påminnelse om det farliga flottningsarbetet.
Cachen finns nära den gamla numera igenväxta badplatsen och kommer att ses över av mig minst en gång per år. Behövs underhåll oftare kommer bekanta i byn att hjälpa till. Koordinaterna är osäkra, så ledtråden är en spoiler. Tar gärna emot feedback på dessa från er som har en riktig GPS.
We return to this place every year to enjoy the power of nature and to participate in the yearly fishing competition "Harrens dag". Here you can enjoy the magnificent rapids and light a barbecue at one of the arranged fireplaces. You will also find remains from the era of the dangerous log floating. The small house was used by the men at work and the stone construction reaching out in the river prevented the logs from getting stuck in the calm water beside the main stream.
The cache is located close to the old beach which is now overgrown. It will be serviced by me at least once a year. If more maintenance is needed, my friends in the village will assist. The coordinates are uncertain, so the hint is a spoiler. I would appreciate feedback from those of you that have proper GPS devices.
