O Concelho de Azambuja
O concelho de Azambuja é o concelho mais a nordeste do distrito de Lisboa, fazendo fronteira a norte e leste com o distrito de Santarém. A Oeste faz fronteira com os concelhos de Cadaval e Alenquer, e a sul com o concelho de Vila Franca de Xira, todos do distrito de Lisboa.
Pertencendo à região do Ribatejo, na sub-região estatística (NUTS III) da Lezíria do Tejo, predomina o mesmo clima dessa região sendo quente no verão, acima de 40º C, e frio no inverno, chegando a temperaturas negativas.
Conta com 21 814 habitantes, segundo os Censos 2011.
The county of Azambuja is the most northeast county of Lisbon district, bordering at north and east with district of Santarém. To the west it borders the municipalities of Cadaval and Alenquer, and south the municipality of Vila Franca de Xira, all in district of Lisbon.
Belonging to the Ribatejo region, statistic sub-region (NUTS III) Lezíria do Tejo, predominates the same climate of this region, hot in summer, above 40° C, and cold in winter, reaching below zero temperatures.
It has 21,814 inhabitants according to the 2011 Census.
