[LAT] Galēnu muižas jeb Vidsmuižas apbūve ir viena no plašākajām Latgalē. Kungu māja celta grāfu Borhu dzimtai. Saimniecības ēkas, līdzās baznīca. Kungu mājai piegulošais parks sākts veidot 18. gs. vidū franču stilā ar centrālo dīķi un dārzu ap to. Muižas kungu māja, iespējams, celta jau 18. gs. un vēlāk vairākkārtīgi pārbūvēta. Pašreizējais mezonīns un jumta logi izbūvēti 19. gs. 2. pusē.
Muižas kompleksā ir plaša saimniecības ēku apbūve - dzīvojamās ēkas, kūtis, staļļi, kalpu māja, klētis, sarga mājiņas. Tās grupējas ap saimniecības pagalmu, uz kuru veda vārti mūra stabos. Vecākā un tipoloģiski interesantākā ir mūra klēts ar stūra kontraforsiem un mansarda jumtu, kas celta 18. gs. 2. pusē. Vēlāk modernizēts, ierīkoti zivju dīķi, augļu dārzs. Mūsdienās muižas komplekss ir visai bēdīgā stāvoklī. Plānots veikt rekonstrukciju, lai iekārtotu viesnīcu, amatnieku centru, audzētu zirgus, izveidotu brīvdabas estrādi. Vai un kad tas notiks? [ENG] Galeni Manor House was built in the 18th century. There were many rebuildings and reconstruction works in the time of last two centuries. Present entresol and mansard windows were made in the second half of the 19th century.
Architectural manor complex includes wide part of the household buildings, such as dwelling houses for majordomo and servants, cowsheds, barns, stables, granaries and small guard houses. All these buildings are situated around the household yard that is surrounded by fence with great gates in walled trails. Walled granary with abutments at the corners and mansard is one of the most interesting household buildings in this complex dated with the 2nd half of the 18th century. There were done many modernisations in former manor park including fish ponds and orchard. Nowadays, manor complex is in a poor condition. There is planned to reconstruct this complex for the needs of hotel, craftsman centre. In the near future there will be a studfarm and the bandstand. Will it really happen? Time will tell…
