Jones Brothers Store was built in the 1870's, but burnt on May12, 1893. It was rebuilt in 1894 & in 1902 expanded. The 21/2 story building had 5 warehouses & sold flour, feed, lumber, lathes, steel & shingles. In 1946 : pair of nylons$1.75 : bread 14 cents :
1 1/2 lb butter 71 cents : shoes $2.00
The store burnt again in 1965 & was rebuilt. The store has been empty for the part 3 years.
June 2012 the store has been reopened under new owners Kerry Lynn & Rodney Armstrong. Drop by & enjoy this country store, the decor is wonderful & has lots of history to share. The cache is placed with owners permission. Easy park & grab.
