Geocache Description:

Star Lake is a 17 acre lake located in Rusk County. It has a maximum depth of 30 feet. Fish include Panfish, Largemouth Bass and Northern Pike.

I was hoping for this cache to be part of the TNBL series but a park and grab cache here would not do this area any justice. You can access Star Lake by pulling your boat or canoe up the right side of the creek to the beaver dam and then paddle into the lake. I fished this lake many years ago and caught a couple northerns, one over 30 inches and some bass. When I crested the dam a deer was drinking in the creek and a duck was swimming around. The water is extremely low and I don't think you could get to the main lake to fish as of the time this cache is placed. The lake itself is nice and deep so don't let the creek fool you.
