The Teams

Find the connection between A to D, and further link it to E, one of Godalming's finest (and I don't mean Croquet Mike). E needed a partner Z to achieve fame briefly. Z died in 1997.
Write E's initials as numbers (using A=1, B=2 etc) and string them into a single number which can be written as FGHJKL.
Then fast forward to the present day and person X, who also relied on a partner (X's partner was Danish). Convert X's surname into coordinates in the most obvious way.
To these coordinates, add 0.H(J+K)(F+K) to get the fiinal Northing and (J+L).JH(K+F) to get the final Westing.
