Whilst hiking here recently, I was pleasantly surprised to find a bath-house--right in the middle of Morgan Territory! This luxurious establishment appears to be a relocation of the famed rub-a-dub-dub club from the north Pleasanton Ridge park. (That one had to be disabled because of over-zealous hikers were overusing the facilities, causing a dangerous lowering of the water table.) That was so nice of the park service to move the spa to this new location. Be sure to thank the park rangers when you see them.
This new spa is just as nice as the old one. It is situated at the junction of Volvon and Eagle trails (just north of the Stone Corral trail.) Just when you're getting tired and ready for a break--here it is! There's been quite a line-up recently as the crowds hear about this place, so you may wish to make a reservation ahead of time. But be warned--there's sometimes a month-long wait to get in!
Feel free to take a dip and refresh yourself in the soothing jets of warm water. I hear that there is a mountain spring nearby that feeds the bath-house--that's why the water looks so pure!
Some cachers have even fallen asleep here, so don't overdo it! During park hours, the spa is staffed with licensed therapists, certified in massage as well as physical therapy. For an extra fee, they also provide Swedish or deep-tissue massage. There's even a shoe-shine stand out front.
You're looking for a shiny bison.
CONGRATS TO flowerisland and Alamogul for FTF! Wasn't it as good as I promised?
