"Haad Mae Ramphueng" cache is placed in the middle of the 12 km long beach, where you can find a a small indentation into the sea, which has been used to make up a small place with excellent seaview, and nearby food and drinks.
Palmtrees and stone made benches are providing a comfortable feeling too.
Haad Mae Ramphueng is white sandy beach on the mainland, it is the longest beach on the eastern side of Rayong.
The beach is slightly inclined and is situated in Khao Laem Ya-Koh Samet national park.
About 12 km of sandy beach has made it an ideal place for holiday making.
The beach is located about 6 kms from Ban Pe, around 9 kms from the high-way no. 2 and about 500 metres from the park headquarter.
Haad Mae Ramphueng is one of Rayong’s better known attractions, a huge expanse of beach stretching about 12 kilometres along the coast with a real, live fishing village marking where the beach finishes.
A number of swimming-related deaths are recorded each year, to some extent the cause remains a mystery.
It is really not advisable to swim too far out into the sea, although swimming near the beach is perfectly safe.
