A 35mm film canister set in the grounds of Two Gate Ragged Chapel with permission. Due to tree cover co-ords may be a bit out.
Ragged Schools began in Plymouth to teach street children how to read and write in the 1800s. The two Ragged School Chapels in Cradley are the only two remaining in the Country.
In the grounds of the Chapel is a Broadstone which marked the boundary of Halesowen, Cradley and Stourbridge in Foxcote Lane. It was put here for safekeeping.
Please be sensitive about caching when church activities are on and respect the grounds. The people of Cradley in the Black Country are very proud of their heritage. A Cradley Trail with some 71 stops has been created by the Cradley Then and Now society. This series of caches has followed just a few of the Cradley Trail locations where caches could safely be placed. You can download the historical trail to learn more at this location: http://www.cradleylinks.co.uk/cradley-trail.htm
