Crowdy Quarry

The cfiff face adjacent to this cache provided the rock for the Breakwater walls at Harrington around the start of the Twentieth Century. Quarrying began in 1894 and continued until at least 1914 when work on the walls was suspended because of WW1. Initially stone was carted by Horse drawn carts to the work site until a railway was completed in 1895.

Turn off at the Waypoint and follow the dirt road to the beach.

The cache is a 200ml Sistema.
