Schraubenfall in Hintertux
Von der Talstation der Gletscherbahn aus (1493 m.ü.M.) wendet Ihr Euch nach rechts und folgt dann dem Wegweiser zu den Wasserfällen. Über eine Holzbrücke überquert Ihr den Tuxbach, und Ihr erreicht den tosenden Schraubenfall. Die Gischt spritzt bis zu den Bänken und ist herrlich erfrischend an einem warmen Sommertag. Mehrere Bänke laden zum Ausruhen ein.
Alle Wege sind befestigt und mit Geländern gesichert. Feste Schuhe sind aber empfehlenswert, denn die Steine am Wasserfall können rutschig sein. Von der Talstation aus ist der Schraubenfall in ca. 10 min bequem zu erreichen. Der kleine Behälter enthält neben dem Logbuch einen Kugelschreiber. Bitte verschließt den Behälter wieder wasserdicht nach dem Loggen.
ACHTUNG: Nicht empfehlenswert im Winter! Liegt zu viel Schnee, ist der Aufstieg nicht ungefährlich!
You can park your car at the bottom of the cable car station in Hintertux. From there go to the right and then follow the yellow signs to the waterwall trail ("Wasserfälle"). You cross a wooden bridge which leads over the Tuxbach. You have reached the thunderous Schraubenfall. Some benches invite you to rest and enjoy the spectacle.
The trail is an official hiking trail and is secured with handrails. Hiking boots are recommended, though, because the rocks near the waterfall can be slippery. From the cable car station you can reach the waterfall in approximately 10 minutes. The small container includes the logbook and a pen. After logging the cache, please make sure that you carefully seal the container again to keep it watertight.
PLEASE NOTE: Do not try to find this cache in winter. It is quite dangerous, if there is too much snow!
