Geocache Description:

The Church of the Holy Innocents

Holy innocents - Lamarsh
The Church of the Holy Innocents, built around 1140, is one of the only three Norman round tower churches and is Grade 1 listed. The tower was capped in the 19th century by a typical Essex spire. Inside you will find fragments of wall paintings, a delicate 15th century screen and the remains of some steps to a roodloft

The Cache is a 35 mm container it is wheel chair friendly but you may need help retrieving it from the ground.

If anybody would like to expand to this series please do, I would just ask that you could let Sadexploration know first so he can keep track of the Church numbers and names to avoid duplication
