FRANÇAIS: Dans les Gorges du Verdon, le Point-Sublime surplombe l'arrivée ou le départ du célèbre sentier Martel dans le Grand Canyon, soit de 14 à 16km de randonnée au fond des gorges. Celles-ci sont étroites et profondes : de 250 à 700 mètres de profondeur, pour 6 à 100 mètres de large au niveau de la rivière du Verdon, et 200 à 1 500 mètres d’un versant à l’autre au sommet des gorges. Un lieu unique en Europe. Après avoir découvert les trois caches précédentes, retournez à La Palud puis reprenez la D 952 en direction de Castellane. Un kilomètre plus loin, laissez la route des crêtes (D 23) à votre droite. Pour rejoindre le point Sublime, la route suit un vallon au cœur d'un superbe paysage sauvage. Les roches des parois calcaires conservent la trace des pressions et des contorsions qu'elles ont subies depuis l'ère secondaire... Lorsque vous arrivez au parking du Point Sublime, (vous ne pouvez pas le manquer !) il vous faudra vous garer, difficilement si vous êtes en période estivale. Dirigez-vous à pieds vers le belvédère. Au passage, arrêtez-vous auprès de la stèle rendant hommage à Isidore BLANC qui fut maître d'école à Rougon. Il fit partie des « découvreurs » du sentier MARTEL , du nom du célèbre spéléologue Français premier explorateur des Gorges: http://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sentier_Martel . Avancez jusqu'au belvédère. De là, le panorama est... sublime !!! A gauche, l'imposante paroi du Duc, à droite les falaises de l'Escalès et entre les deux le couloir Samson dans lequel s'engouffre le Verdon...Sur la rive droite de la rivière, on aperçoit le début du sentier Martel qui ressort en final au niveau du refuge de La Maline, sur la route des crêtes. Très prisé des randonneurs (il y a foule en été), il parcourt le fond du canyon, traverse des tunnels creusés à mains d'hommes, franchit des brèches aériennes... A l'ère secondaire, cette région se trouvait sous un océan, et des sédiments emprisonnant les restes d'êtres vivants se sont accumulés au fond... Attention : le Verdon étant une réserve naturelle, il est interdit d'y prélever des minéraux ! Vous êtes maintenant à 225 m de la cache, volontairement éloignée du belvédère afin d'éviter l'affluence des moldus qui s'y pressent l'été. La boite se trouve sous quelques pierres et parmi le buis qui pousse le long de la falaise. Attention si vous avez des enfants, vous allez longer le bord de la falaise !

The rocks of the walls limestones preserve the trace of the pressures and the distorsions which they underwent since the secondary era… When you arrive at the carpark of the Sublime Point, (you cannot miss it!) it will be necessary for you to be parked, with difficulty if you are in summer period. You direct to feet towards the view-point. On the way, you stop near the stele paying homage to BLANC Isidore who was schoolmaster in Rougon. He belonged to the “discoverers” of path MARTEL, the name of the famous French speleologist first explorer of the Throats: http://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sentier_Martel Advance to the view-point. From there, the panorama is… sublime!!! On the left, the imposing wall of the Duke, on the right the cliffs of the Stopovers and between the two the corridor Samson in which engulfs the Verdon… On Right Bank of the river, one sees the beginning of the Martel path which arises into final on the level of the refuge of the Malignant one, on the road of the peaks. Very snuffed hikers (there is crowd in summer), it traverses the bottom of the canyon, crosses tunnels dug to hands of men, crosses air breaches… At the secondary era, this area was under an ocean, and sediments imprisoning the remains of living beings accumulated at the bottom… Caution: the Verdon being a nature reserve, it is interdict to take minerals there! You are now to 225 m of the hiding place, voluntarily far away from the view-point in order to avoid the multitude of muggles which visits this place in summer. Limps is under some stones and among the boxwood which pushes along cliff. Attention if you have children, you will go along the edge of cliff!

Cette cache a été publiée le 22 juin 2012, mais la boîte posée seulement le 20 juillet... 12 joueurs trèèèès rapides ont donc posté des photos de la stèle avec leur GPS en premier plan. Ceux qui ont trouvé la boîte méritent tout de même de figurer dans le palmarès.
Exceptionnellement, il y a donc 2 podiums pour cette cache !
