Geocache Description:

There are three caches hidden at Huble Homestead, north of Prince George, BC. This year, they'll stay out over winter, but due to heavy snowfall, they'll be harder to find, and you will have to snowshoe or trudge through deep snow. Motor vehicles can't access the site during the winter months or when the site is closed, but there is parking a couple of hundred meters above the site, and you can walk down the hill to access them.

This multi - cache was placed in honour of the Huble House Centennial. There are three stages to this cache, each with the co'ords to the next cache in them.
Each container is a camouflaged lock'n'lock, hidden in natural surroundings. They are not in or around the historic buildings.

The first two caches have assorted swag in them, the final cache has 50 collectible Huble Homestead pathtags.  Please only take one pathtag per household, to leave this unique treasure for other groups to find.  Once the 50 pathtags have been collected, regular swag will be added to the final cache. If you take something from one of the caches, please replace it with something of equal or greater value.  All three caches must be found in order to log this cache, and to collect the pathtag in the final one.
On event days beware of muggles, regular days, not so much.

This cache is placed in a historic site with special permission.  The entrance to the site is by donation and all donations are greatly appreciated as it is a non-profit organization, however, it is not mandatory to donate, especially if you are there just for the geocaching.  You may park up the hill from the site, it is a short walk downhill to begin the search!!

Note - there is wildlife in the area, so remember to be respectful and be alert, not only of the wildlife but also of the environment.  Also, as this is an historic site, take time to enjoy it and learn about the area, as it played an important role in trapping and trading in the early 1900's, as well as travel throughout the area.

The buildings are open from 10am - 5pm, everyday, from May long weekend until Labour Day weekend.  The site does not need to be open in order to search for the caches, as none of them are located in buildings, and the site is located in a Regional Park. You can find them in the dark w/flashlight as well, but there are no night cache markings.

Congratulations to 2canam for the FTF!!
Above all cache on and have fun!!
***Our co-ords with our gps for the second cache are accurate to within 6 feet. If your gps is trying to send you over the fence, please do not oblige!! The cache is located on the proper side of the fence, within the boundaries of Huble Homestead. The tree cover sends some confusion sometimes!!
