GO FOR BROKE! FOUR-FOUR-TWO! GO FOR BROKE! En octobre 1944 le 442ème régiment d'infanterie passa à l'attaque des 4 collines rondes qui surplombent la ville de Bruyères. L'état major les nomma "A", "B", "C" et "D". In October 1944 the 442nd Combat Team attacked the four conical hills that towered over Bruyeres. The commanders named the hills "A", "B", "C" and "D".
La colline A fut prise par le 100ème bataillon à 14h00 le mercredi 18 octobre 1944. La colline B fut prise par les 2 et 3èmes bataillons le même jour à 16h00. La colline D fut prise le jour suivant le 19 par le 3ème. La colline C fut prise le 20 par le 100ème. Pour trouver les coordonnées finales vous devez découvrir le nom des 4 collines. X = Altitude au dessus du niveau de la mer de la colline C Y = Altitude au dessus du niveau de la mer de la colline A Des panneaux aux sommets des collines indiquent l'altitude.
