LAT-Lielupe ir lielākā Zemgales upe, caurteces ziņā otra lielākā Latvijas upe[nepieciešama atsauce] (aiz Daugavas). Upes dziļums augštecē ir apmēram 1 m, lejpus Jelgavas — 8—12 m, lejtecē — 15—20 m. Lielupe ir tikai 119 km gara, toties tai ir 250 pieteku. Krasti gandrīz visur aizauguši. Lielupei ir ļoti mazs kritums — 10,8 m (0,1 m/km), it sevišķi lejtecē, kur tā kļūst daudz platāka un dziļāka. Vidējais caurplūdums grīvā ir 106 m³/s (maksimālais 1380 m³/s, minimālais 10,6 m³/s).
ENG-Lielupe Zemgale is the largest river in terms of flow in the second largest Latvian river [citation needed] (behind the Daugava). Upper reaches of the river depth is about 1 m downstream of Jelgava - 8-12 m, Lower - 15-20 m. Lielupe just 119 miles long, but it has 250 tributaries. The coasts are almost everywhere overgrown. Lielupe is very small drop - 10.8 m (0.1 m / km), especially in the lower reaches, where it becomes much wider and deeper. The average flow at the mouth is 106 m³ / s (maximum 1380 m / s, minimum 10.6 m³ / s).
